I missed the deadline for SVA, so have left the car for a while as I spent too much time and money.
I put ABS in because on the track it is so much fun braking very, very late, so the inital turn in is being done under abs control.
Also my front is currently over braked reducing the max deceleration due to the fronts locking.
I know many people will say don`t install it, but it is already there and I would prefer to keep it rather than re do the brake system (more time +
money).
So has anyone passed iva with a kit car with ABS brakes, and was any documentaion required.
Thanks
Darren
i don't think anyone has yet. but have you looked through the manual to see what rules it has to meet? check the link below
I dont think you will find many locost builders with ABS as the cars are so light. I considered it but couldnt be bothered with the extra wiring.
I`m expecting a weight of a ton, so it is a bit heavier, stil very controlable.
I really wish they gave a few more months of SVA, I might have made it.

Looks like any modern abs system will pass, it seems the only requirement is that it will detect unusual wheel speeds in normal operation.
I know that my system fitted will be okay regarding this.
