Ihave just been reading the IVA regs

A Fuel Tank must not be located in, or form part of the passenger compartment, or other compartment integral with it and the bulkhead that separate
the passengers from the fuel tank must be free from holes through which any escaped fuel could travel
will a flat panel suffice or does it need ends on it making it 3 sided?
Also can the tank be raised enough for the handbrake/gear cables to run underneath the tank or does it need to be mounted flat on the floor?
A flat panel is OK, as it is to stop any flames reaching the cockpit.
The tank can be where you want, BUT, the lower the better.
excellent thats what i was hoping. thanks
Hi , i made a stainless bulkhead for the mk . thought it necessary with the tank mounted at the rear this will offer protection from heat as well as petrol splash but there not lite.
