Get there early, and pack tools j.i.c. ?!?
Take extra edge protection, cable ties, amalgamated tape, convoluted copex etc etc.
Take a good selections of tools.
Make sure your battery is fully charged.
Good Luck!
Good Luck, Keep us posted! Many problems left or are you ready?
Best of luck, let us know how you get on. I hope to put mine in within the month
best of luck for tomorrow
Get someone in a tin top (with tow rope?) to travel with you as support vehicle!
Ned very kindly did that for me.
Cheers,
James
im taking it on the trailor since ive been having trouble with the engine running lean at high RPM under load....
so thought it would be better to trailor it
at least it should give me a better shot at passing the emmisions test ..... just hope i dont melt a piston
tilly
do they put it on a rolling roat at any point to check power etc??
obviously they use roller to do breats but do they dyno it at all.... just thinkning of my pistons

As far as I'm aware, peak power is output at whatever revs you declare i.e. if you say peak power is at 3000 revs (even if its really at 6k) then
the emissions test will be at 3k.
Just a tip I was given by a trike and chopper builder who was putting vehicles through every few weeks.
I thought emmissions were just done at idle and fast idle?
They do put cars on rollers to do speedo cal test. My tester was actually quite reserved in taking it up to 70 though.
Good luck
Keep us posted.
it will be fine on the speedo rollers as there is no resistance so its almost like revving it on idle.
they put the car on the rollers to test the speedo went up2 90mph on our storm when we were at nottingham
and emissions are done at 2500-3000rpm
(tip try to get it as close to 3000 as possible as it will help emissions)
one of my friends failed at nottingham for the gauge back lights not coming on when the sidelights were turned on without the ignition last week
something for me to fix tonight...... my sideleight dont even come on with out the ignition let along the dials lighting up
ash was just telling me this on the haynes forum eirlier....
should be an easy fix perminant live to the hazard suply and to the side lights suplly wires

The sidelights need to be indicated (why i don`t know).
A simple green led would do or a change in illumination ofthe dial.
For my dash that would be the illumination of the display dimming, but for dials that would be the display being back lit.
Darren
what about foglight only being able to be turned on when headlights are swtiched on and a light to tell you that the fog light is on
is your petrol cap locking if so make sure the key is on the same keyring as the ignition key ( the guy at nottingham will accept that )
otherwise you will have to teather your fuel cap
have you got a cat in your exhaust (have you checked your emissions?)
bet your bum hole is twitching, lol.
Good luck Joe
