Krismc - 11/3/10 at 06:14 PM

Just filling in my paper work to send to MNR for the IVa and unsure of What too put on the iva sheet for max RPM / Revs?

My engine is a 2.0 litre zetec 1999 130BHP standard.

But has lightened flywheel, TBs, Cams, and around 180-190Bhp?

What do i put?? cheers in advance

As far as I'm aware they use the max bhp rpm when doing the emissions testing, they test at the output that you specify so there is the potential to get through the emissions easier by saying 2.5/3k rather than 5.5/6k! Just what I've heard though!

my forms were sent back for an optamistic rev range so if you get it wrong don't get it really wrong

Noise, not emissions, is done relative to max power speed.

Put the correct figure or an educated guess, they aren't stupid.

Put what it says in the car [ zetec ] hand book ie mondeo

you just put down what rpm the engine is doing when its making max power (not max rpm) just look up the figs for that engine and you will be fine.

noise is measured at 3/4 of what ever rpm you write down. if they dont believe the figure you put they make you do it at 2/3 of your max rpm.

i didnt have the info for my pinto as i tinkered with it so took the printout from my rolling road setup which was acceptable.

Haynes say 130bhp (96kW) @ 6000rpm (2.0 litre Mondeo)
