Has anybody succeeded in getting one of these out of a manufacturer? Does it have to be the manufacturer or can it be a manufacturer's approved dealership?

Specifically, has anybody had any joy getting a letter from vauxhall?

I wrote to the ford technical centre and they confirmed the age of my engine and gave the original vehicle type when it left the factory.

Any Technical questions they declined to answer and suggested I contact or look in a Ford Custom Car Mag for info.
