IVA - Reverse light not neccesary according to Kitcar magazine
eznfrank - 28/4/10 at 06:21 PM

I just bought May 2010 edition of Kitcar magazine and in "tech tips" there is a question:

"Do I need a reversing light?"

To which they respond:

"No, you don't. You require a fog light with an illuminated switch, that's all".

????????????????????

needed for IVA but not for MOT

on a side note, does the fog switch need to illuminate only when the fog light is on, or just when the lights are on?

Yeah this is in the middle of a section all about IVA?

Re: fog light, the book just says "operational" so not very clear, but I would imagine just when it is on.

Im sure i read in the manual that you do need a reverse light.

IVA Manual section 29 Reversing Lamps says Mandatory.

Reverse light is mandatory now with IVA.

Fog has to have a warning light (doesn't have to be in the switch) which only illuminates when the fog light it on.

Think - It defo need to light when Fog is on. But I don;t think there is a requirement for Night liumination.
