Southampton SVA centre not as bad as people make out. Blokes are helpfull but efficient.
Went down to Portsmouth to get the car registered and low and behold they said take a seat and we will process the documents now. So now have a road legal locost.

Cant make guildford unfortunately, beualieu show this weekend, let me know another date, would like to give it a blast up there

Well done, its a great feeling when you get the piece of paper.

Good luck Jasper for tomorrow, what have you done to get it through.

Jasper - 13/5/04 at 02:16 PM

Thanks Gordon, BTW - well done on getting yours through, you on the road yet???

Steve at Fisher recons you turn the pilot screw down to between 1/2 and 1 turn from the bottom, put all the original main jets in (I have dynojets), and screw the mixture screw in as well. Makes it run like a pig (I will trailer it up), but he's got 3 through like this. I've also now fitted longer engine studs so I can fit the proper exhaust gaskets, and ensured an airtight joint between manifold and can. I'm also using a long can with large built in CAT. I'll try to set it up in the morning at my local friendly garage with emissions tester. If I fail again though I will have to resort to using Mach #1 lamda kit.

Everything else on the car has been sorted so should be the only potential problem.

Just waiting for the reg to come through.

I resorted to MAC1 Lambda kit and it went through OK. They said that it works better with a dynojet kit but couldnt get one in time for my engine with it being an E1 (dont know what the differance is).

Hope it passes tomorrow for you, if not Im sure Mark & Colin will sort it out for you, they were realy helpfull.
