Anyone any experience of having sva/iva at derby or heard anything on the grape vine?

thats where im off to next week. According to the vosa website they do everything there so it must be a big 'un

I've never done anything IVA/SVA wise there but it's where I did my Bike CBT license years back and yes it is a "big un".

They do independent MOTs for cars and trucks - big big bays with pits etc etc - it's quite a large site.

Be interesting to know what it's like there for IVA because that's more than likely where I'll end up for my IVA in the near/medium/far future !!

BTW - there's mega road works round there at the moment so give yourself time to get there.

Went with a mate in 2005/6 for his SVA and found them to be very ameanable at that time. came away with a firt time pass

yes, just read some glowing reviews online.

Apparently 1 of the 3 sva/iva testers is a kit builder himself

I passed there, the guy who tested mine was 100% to the book but gave tips and ideas of how to pass on the items I failed on, I passed third time due to the guy missing something on the first test and noticing it on the second, but when I went in the third time I was there 5 mins, literally took one look in the car park then came out with the paperwork.

I went to Derby for mine - very helpful! Passed 2nd time but first time loads of faults so cant blame him. That was SVA though - his name was Roy so mention the blue Tiger if you get him!
