So Near yet So far IVA Fail
FrankP - 20/5/10 at 05:45 PM

Well I did my IVA retest at Nottingham.
Everything wa sok except emissions..
To be fair they gave plenty of time po try and get it and when we thought we had it the car dveloped a misfire - somebody suggested a plug had over heated and stopped after an hour at 3000 rpm.
When I got home it was running fine so it looks like a heat related issue...
The readings were
HC 40
CO 0.0
Lambada 1.3

So it looks like it was too lean. I need to get it on an emissions machine to finish off the tune..... Anyone know a mobile mechanic who could help??
Anyways almost there........

I have got to read things a bit better. I misread a post this morning too

It could just be too weak, however an air leak on the exhaust will also cause a high lambda reading. Make sure there's no leaks on any joints or silencer seams. Clear silicone sealant will seal then. Don't worry it will take the temp'.

I had trouble controling the emmisions on my SVA as the temps got high. I wired my fan to run constant for my retest.
