Pre 95 engines...
franky - 4/6/10 at 01:04 PM

Sorry folks, another question. I'm just wanting to 100% confirm that my 1994 engine will not need a cat fitting for IVA.... As I understand it its 95> that need them?

I think its August 1994 that is the cut of date. You may have to contact the manufacturer if you are unsure.

You will need proof though.

You can get away with poor emissions up until and engine date of 31 July 1995.

Here is the manual

Not sure it is nowadays....think you may need a letter from the manufacturer...

Make sure the engine number is the same as that shown on the V5, ie it's the original engine.

v5 is fine as long as it is THE ORIGINAL.

I had a colour photocopy and they didn't like it. Letter from Suzuki was fine (although I could have made that in Photoshop, I didn't but I could have done).

A letter from the manufacturer is the required.

V5 with engine number? No, because they are interchangeable.

Its the original engine as the v5 does state a change if its been made, matches the build sheet, got the original V5 too so should be all boxes ticked.
