Well just to answer the people in this thread:
LINK
It did pass, 98db all covered in mdf underneath with sound absorbing material all over it in addition to all the stuff detailed in that thread.
Cloudy - yes your car was seen at a show a year or two back and the guy who built this photo'd it, stuck some pics on the garage wall and went
about making a similar one so you can be credited with being the inspiration for sure.
Funny really as I was following your build on here for ages, then I pop over his garage and he's like "check out what I built!" it was
well funny, and cool, seeing your car pics stuck up on the wall!
and T66, as for the tester being helpfull, the best bit was at the first retest when he said "oh, I forgot to put these (insert lots of radius
fails, and wrongly positioned indicators) on your defects sheet, sorry about that, they'll all have to be addressed before I'll pass
it"
Grrreeeeaaaat............ I guess if it wasn't for the fact it was still too loud at this point, the owner would have gone a bit more nuts than
he was already doing
Cheers
Stott
Nice one!
adrian
Congrats, now have fun
Well done
That does look nice (so does the R4) I assume this car is in South Wales?
Yeah it is in S Wales, So will mine be when it's knocked up, looks like this at the moment though:
I'm losing my job though next year so I'll have plently of time and a redundancy payout to finish it!
Every cloud an all that..................
Fesycresy, you'll probably see it out and about, it just got it's "10" plate today! I'm off out for a burn in it at the
weekend and it'll probably frequent Llandow often, it's for sprint's and hillclimbs, "production" car class
Out of interest, Cloudy, if you're reading this, what did yours weigh, this was 448 wet, I know 7s go lighter but it's quite substantial
though chassis wise
