A friends car Failed its SVA this morning, because the examiner would not except a reicet form tiger stating the age of the engine as sufficient proof of its age. They will only accept a headed letter from ford as proof of the engines age. Has anyone else come up against this? does anyone have the address to write to etc..

I know Tiger were selling new "pre 95" spec engines at one point and think VOSA sussed out that they were trying to get round emissions rules, perhaps they are not so trusting now.
