buying a q plate whats on the log book

hi one of my mates has just looked at a robin hood kit car he want to buy he is unsure if its v5 is correct its says
manufacturer- other
type sports/convertible
date of first ragistration 19930820

does this sound ok does that mean it has been though a sva
would it not say robin hood on the log book

any help would be great before he spends his cash

Sounds like a mistake on the V5 if manufacturer is Other instead of Robin Hood. As it's a Q reg and assuming that actually matches what's on the V5 you should be OK IMHO.

As to SVA, that started in 1998 I think so, if it really was first registered in 1993 then it wouldn't have had to go through SVA. On the other hand, it could be another DVLA mistake and actually be the first reg date of the donor.

If it turns out only the "Other" is an issue, then I think you should be able to get it changed by DVLA fairly easily... maybe

If it says "other" on the V5, it sounds like a dream V5 to be honest with you.

You could do a lot with a V5 like that if you were so inclined.

Not that I am of course.
