Just replaced my engine from the old cologne 2.8 v6 - 2.9 bob cossy. DVLA is changing V5 to new engine. Do I need to re-IVA

Did you have to send off any proof of engine chgange to get the V5 changed and if so, what?
Just curious as I've been putting off swapping my V5 over for too long now

Just send off a recipt on letter headed paper from a garage (microsoft word doc)
stating new engine number and cappacity eg pinto 2.0 would be 1993cc you could add a few pics of the change.

They will usually ask for evidence of purchase of engine. Which is annoying.

Personally when they wanted lots of evidence of purchase for bits at SVA I just wrote them a letter which said "when I started building this car 6 years ago you didn't want proof of purchase so I didn't keep the receipts. You've now retrospectively decided I should have kept them. However buying stolen goods is a criminal act and there's a thing called assumption of innocence in this country so if you want to try and proove anything is nicked (which is isn't) then fine otherwise show me the law which says the assumption of innocence doesn't apply to VOSA or give me a damn sVA date". It worked, SVA date came shortly afterwards in the post. No mucking around.
