Hello,
I don't have a mechanical anti theft device fitted, but I do have a sterling immobilizer, as well as the one in the bike ECU.
I don't have a certificate for them, is anybody on here able to do one for me? The car will be tested at Norwich and living with Andy Bates
during the registration process.
if you take it to any good alarm installer they will check it over and do you one for about 15 quid.

If your after one for IVA, i think it has now been removed from the manual for amateur builds.
i have the sterling immobilizeralso i have the blank certificate if thats any help to get somone to fill it in or just stamp it your self
Get the system properly certificated, then you can get an insurance discount.
They need to be VSIB registered for the stamped certificate to be accepted by the Insurance Co.
Other than that I wouldnt bother with the certificate.
My Local car alarm people in Cambridge did it for £15.
They wanted to know exactly how and where everything was, ie the wiring, and how you had connected it.
Best to make sure ALL the wires are taped in with the loom. If they are clipped alongside they will be less inclined to certify it, as they are easy
to intercept, and fairly obvious.
Mind you a se7en isnt the most difficult car to hotwire!
EDIT:
Mines a Sterling as well, and has performed well for the last 4 years.
Without a properly stamped certificate, with the correct numbers on it etc. The Insurance Co wont give you the discount.

^^ My understanding aswell.
Just had another read of the IVA manual, and yes it does appear to have been taken out which is ideal.
Thanks guys, saved me some faffing.
