Fuel pipe routing
cps13 - 8/12/10 at 10:41 AM

Is it ok to route the fuel pipes & brake pipe underneath the car to the rear or do they have to go down the tunnel?

I am building following a Westfield manual which I though to be IVA compliant which says to put them under the car.

Has anyone passed recently with them underneath?

Cheers,

Not sure of the legalities of that, but I personally wouldn't be too comfortable with them under the car. After all, there ain't a lot of clearance as it is, and you don't want the nasty roads to deprive you of stopping power

manual just says they must be secured, and doesn't state anyhthing about the actual routing, so should be fine.
there's a link below to get the manual for free

thanks for your answers. I did wonder about the safety aspect of it but thought if it was in the Westfield manual it should be ok... may have been my first mistake!!

Betterin the tunnel but most tin-tops have them underneath so I can't see how it could fail.
