Hi Guys,
If a car was SVA'd with certificate etc ~ 5 years ago but not registered.... with the IVA in place now - would the car now have to go through an
IVA to get it registered ?
if not - what woudl be needed to get it registered using the old SVA certificate ?
thanks in advance....
There's was a time limit to get it registered after SVA (6months?). It'll have to go through IVA now.
IVA I believe as there is a time limit from test to registering as I understand it
thanks gents.... enough to steer me away (2nd hand car)
if the car passed SVA, and hasn;t been altered surely there shouldn;t be much to change to get through IVA?, just the cost of the test which could
possibly be negotiated off the asking price ?

I'd agree with that. Big changes are reduced noise and reverse required. The rest is fairly small changes.
And headrests
I can't undertsand why someone would spend all that time building a car, put it through SVA, get a certificate and then not bother registering
it. All that hard work only to fall just before the finishing line.

was done to suit a race series - not relaly required.... but done to prove a point, so the guy didn't see the need to spend the extra ££
registering it - as it intention for the car was race only...
its been modified, developed, and some of the IVA type stuff will have been removed, modified etc - no doubt you could go through it all and do it if
you have the right attitude/patience, but I'd fail on that !!
