IVA PASS....
stevegough - 28/1/11 at 08:38 PM

After 2 years and 3 months, passed today. I should have been jumping for joy, but the tester wasn't good on paperwork. He presented me with the IAC which I proceeded to give him straight back - he'd spelt LUEGO wrong - as it is in the VIN as well, I didn't think DVLA would be impressed! He'd put LEUGO. Went and loaded car back on the trailer, and he brought out the replacement IAC. When we set off back a few mins later, I had another good look only to find the engine number incorrect and the BHP figure wrong, too. Rang them up, because we had got in a bit of a traffic jam, but he'd gone home! So, got another 100mile trip tomorrow to get him to redo it again!

Still bloody chuffed, though!

Got a pic of the IAC..... with all its faults!

No, I don't think so? - but if he's changing it, he might as well get it all right!

Well done with the pass and the car looks nice to.
What is the rubber covering youve used on the front wishbone bracket? Ive been looking for something like that to cover some of the edges of my mudgaurd brackets
And that trailer youve used looks a nice bit of kit to i might make one the same it looks nice and lite to tow.

Chunky - thanks for the comment, but your car is much nicer!

rubber 7x4 on the wishbone brackets .....CBS

The trailer came from Richard Thomas (close neighbour in locost terms) I spent a while derusting, painting and fettling it but it is great now. Drawbar folds up, too.

Its a pity he took the two c*cked up ones back - I would have had quite an auction!!!!

Been back this morning and got the guy to do it right! (By the way - he hadn't got the BHP wrong - it is in kW hours or something - so 112 was the conversion of 150.

I hope I'm on the road a hull of a lot earlier than May or DVLA heads will roll! I will be there - hope to see you and your missus well on the mend by then. Best of luck with the op!
