i bought a damaged car,(cat d) about a year ago as my kit car donor and it has no v5 registration doccument. i have the car,in about a million pieces
and was wondering if i can apply for a v5?
i have tried what seems ike all options to talk to dvla but keep getting put on the automated sevice and there is no option to talk to anyone! thanks
As far as I know, yes you can request a V5 for a cat D write off ( There's a fee payable )
If the car is a cat C write off then it needs a vehicle identity check ( VIC ) before a V5 can be issued .
That was how it worked last time I repaired a cat D car
You'll need to fill in a V62
Download here
I believe the current fee is £25
