Side lights

Thinking about investing in a pair of goggle sport headlights for the Indy, although they do not have side lights intigrated, do I need side lights?

Yes.

Thanks Pete, I guessed as much, seen some on ebay but no side light and the lense looks like it is not road legal....TA again

As long as the beam pattern is road legal, why not just stick an LED in the reflector somewhere?

Thinking about it I may be able to drill a hole in the back of the reflector and locate a bulb through a grommet?

Thinking more on this idea, anyone any idea where and what sort of LED i need and where I can get one, been to the usual places like EBAY etc?

How about Maplin's electrical

Hmmm... thanks for that, obviously it will need to be 12v.......................worth a try, deffinately on a mission now.

It is definitely a good idea to use the type of LED bulb that diffuses the light and takes full advantage of the reflector. Do a search on LED bulbs on eBay and you will find lots of suitable candidates.
Something like this maybe eBay Item but it will require a conventional wedge type socket to be installed - still quite easy though

Cheers for the link Raz, took the plunge and located the lights this week and arrived this morning, just drilled the rear of the reflector with a 1/8 drill bit. You mention a wedge type socket....?????
