Im making a rear panel for my indy out of black perspex, which im planning to bolt and silicone in. as i have no plans for making it into a boot
space.
Will the iva man wan't to be able to lift this up? or will he be fine at looking at everything from below?
cheers.
Don't use perspex, it's not UV proof, it will deteriorate (that is if you use it enough!), polycarbonate or ABS should be fine.. My boot was
covered and non-removable for SVA, inspector looked from bottom, would also have been happy with photos, so worth taking some before sealing up..

Why do you not want a boot?
My boot isnt very big, but holds a tonneau cover, empty fuel can and tools, and a few bits and bobs

Mine had a press stud Vinyl cover and he did not ask for me to open it.
There were non complient radiused edges to my boot box but as these are covered with the Vinyl cover they would not have been classed as a fail
anyway.
And I do use the boot box
