What's the best way of fixing wing mirrors to my roll cage on the mnr? Am looking at gsxr 1000 mirrors as they seem to be iva compliant, but due to the position of the front cage uprights (they are rearwards of the scuttle) visibility is poor if scuttle mounted. Am concerned obout trying to fix them to a round tube! Cheers
Ive been thinking about this for a while, but not come to an 'off the shelf' conclustion.
The only thing I was thinking about was manufacturing some sort of bracket that could be bolted around the cage (some thing like this

to it.
There seems to be plenty mounted direct to the mk Indy cage.
My mac 1 wing mirrors were drilled and tapped to the cage.
not the most structural but neither is the mounting of the cage itself!
Personaly i would make up a receiver plate with a tgread to bolt to. i would spray a matching colour them bond to the cage with a metal weld type
glue.
would look tidy, IVA friendly, and not affect cage stregnth.
I used a derailleur clamp to fix the mirrors to the cage
bike seat post clamp works as well ( 35mm tube)
have welded a couple of tabs to the cage since IVA
