I've come back from a 20-mile round trip to get my toy car MOT'd - my, that was fun! Glorious weather, not too much traffic, no particular
problems... magic.
Now I have to prepare for "Whoopie (stage 2)": the SVA on 10th Sept...
Best news is, when I made my top wishbones I took advice and set the axis about 15 - 20mm further back - and it does start to self-centre from full
lock. Phew!
A minor down-side... the back end is bottoming out on some bumps so I'll probably need stronger springs post-SVA. What poundage are most people
using?
regards,
David
Well done, We got ours MOT'd yesterday. Only a 2 mile round trip though
Did take it for SVA a couple of weeks ago (got there late and they refused), but it was a nice 50 mile round trip.
Best of luck with the SVA.
My nearest MOT station is only a mile away - but I wanted to get some decent mileage in before driving 40 miles to Chelmsford and back again!
Besides, one of the owners of the garage I went to is a fellow member of the Ipswich Model Engineering Society! No favours, I hasten to add, but
perhaps more friendly.
