Just spoke to VOSA (who were amazingly helpful) about the regulations regarding M1 IVA and side lights. The VOSA man said there are no regulations regarding side light markings, brightness or type. Only position, quantity and colour were important with the usual radius's.

The man answered within 2 rings and new exactly what he was talking about. No machines, no switchboards. Gold star to VOSA

As long as they comply to the construction and use regs ( sorry I could not resist getting that in,...) that is fine.

Seems VOSA have a different set of rules to the C&U crowd, check with them as well.
