This how long it took me with DERBY inspection & BIRMINGHAM DVLA

14/8/12 Posted IVA Application Swansea

26/9/12 VOSA IVA Inspection passed

27/9/12 DVLA Applied for Tax & Registration number told need to inspect it

16/10/12 DVLA Inspection (What a joke - looked at engine & chassis number - THAT WAS ALL!)

20/10/12 Finaly get my Tax disc !! (Saturday Morning - 9 days of tax disc to end of month - joke - rip off)

Ok .. got my number plates on .. time to have some fun

at maidstone.

first car passed, down for inspection same week, end of week plates on car.
second car passed down for inspection following week, on road end of inspection week.

You can have a build up inspection before IVA then registration after
We had 1 mate who did build up before IVA went to IVA in the morning at Norwich, DVLA Chelmsford mid afternoon, got reg sorted bought plates from motorfactor a near DVLA and was on the road that day.
This will not be possible once the local DVLA offices close
