IVA pass 1st time!!!!
The car is a 1997 vintage Robin Hood, getting it to pass takes some doing I can tell you!!
It snowed this morning as I was loading it on the trailer and it started filling up the interior, and I managed to overfill the fuel up the neck, then
get a gobfull of it siphoning a litre out (was burping petrol fumes till about 10am! ) but it all went ok, the weather stopped and it went well.
It's actually my 1st ever car believe it or not, built it in 1997, got it ready then inspected by DVLA and was all set to register it but I
started an apprenticeship the same year, got a mrs and the car got mothballed, I never sent the insurance, mot and reg fee off, a costly mistake.
However, I picked it back up in 2005, stripped it to a chassis and re-engineered the lot, taking 3 years out to look after my son until he started
school, and another year out to do an extension on the house to give the boy his own room - he was costly too, but not a mistake
Finally though it was completed in November, I applied for IVA on the 9th iirc, and today passed and went straight to the DVLA to register it, got my
inspection 9:30 next Wed, should have number plates either that day or by Fri next week according to the guy there, so maybe I'll finally get to
drive it (properly) soon, I've had it 15 years so another week won't hurt lol......
Merry Christmas to me!
I like to think he's clapping hahahahahaha

Great looking car, looks like you've put a lot of work into it!!
.................A big thumbs up.
Well done
Nice one Stott, that's the best looking Robin Hood I've ever seen. See you on the road in the spring, I'm putting a S2000 engine in mine at the moment.
Well done, congratulations. The interior/dash is very well done, looks very neat & tidy!
Looking good!
Just be careful out there. It's very easy to bin it in these conditions and that would be such a shame...

And before you know it your son will be asking to borrow it ...they grow rather quickly and time really does fly, faster than you want it too so enjoy
both as much as you can.
Well done that man..
I know personally the hoops you have to jump through getting a Robin Hood S3 through the test
Well done
Cheers Paul and thanks for the pics and questions you answered for me over the years

Cheers Dan, and everyone else of course, I'm well pleased!!!
I read about your engine swap on threads you wrote and thought about never speaking to you again because you are ditching the bike lump lol lol why the swap?
I'll get some proper in-focus pics up when I get around to using the camera and not my phone.
I'm pretty chuffed with the inside tbh, it's got a cd player under the glovebox lid on the dash too, it worked out well in the end.

It's alcantara sort of stuff, so are the tunnel top and armrests, it was cheap too
From ebay: Alcantara fabric - faux suede/leather - black 19.5 x 19.5 cm
Well done that man!
Great looking car, you should be proud of it!
As said, be careful in this weather, but spring is going to be here before you know it

Rich
Well done, looking really good..just need some dry weather to go and enjoy it
Have you got a build diary for this?
I keep finding myself looking at pictures of it while planning IVA prep.
Nope sorry, it would have been lots of photos of me with a pee'd off look accompanied by captions of swearing, so not much use really!
Well done . Mine was a 15 year build as well. finishing off takes a lot of determination with so little momentum. One of the neatest RH's I've seen .
I had a feeling you might say something like that.
