Possibly a repeat thread and I know consult the IVA manual......but experience is always the best......

IVA says rear fog light has to be vertically positioned. I can't find anything about the vertical position of the brake/indicator/reverse lights - should these be vertical too? Have I missed it in the IVA manual?

One other....a bit long winded.....I have all-in-one brake/indicator/reflector and separate reverse/reflector and fog/reflector lights - so 4 rear lights in total and would like to position them 2 per arch. I can meet all other positional measurements but I don't think I can get the minimum 100mm separation between the fog and brake/indicator. I want to maintain 2 lights on each arch for cosmetic reasons.....so, should I get an additional reverse and have a reverse on both arches and position the fog separately (are 2 reverse lights allowed?)....or get an additional fog, one positioned with the brake/indicator but only as a "reflector" and the second functional as a fog and positioned to meet IVA requirements. Any help/suggestions much appreciated....a balance of cosmetics and what's going to pass IVA is needed......

Other lights can be at an angle providing the angles of visability are met etc.

As for positioning, fit lights to suit IVA then reposition them once passed.

You only need 1 fog and 1 reverse
The fog can be a square one on a bracket off the rear tub, when it falls off you can replace it with a better looking one in a more aesthetic position
Same with reversing light
If lights are there the tester will test them
Don't over complicate for IVA

Summary of Rear Fog requirements (Sec 28):

Min 1, Max 2 (An optional rear fog lamp must form a matched pair with the obligatory lamp.)
One must be on centreline OR on offside (drivers).
Min Seperation from stop light, 100mm
Max Height 1000mm
Min Height 250mm
Fitted so that the reflector is facing squarely to the rear
All rear fog lamps must display an “e” or “E” mark with a “B” or “F”
The rear fog lamp(s) must only illuminate when dipped beam, main beam or front fog lamps are lit (See Note 3) (Note 3: front fog lamps may be illuminated with the side lamps only.)

Construction & use suggests all lights should illuminate to vertical or near vertical.
Min separation of 100mm between the extreme edges of the brake lights and rear fog. Meaning there must be 100mm between the lights not 100mm between the centres of the lights.
min of one rear fog (to the offside) or two rear fog (one to each side)

I think I will go the simple route......and when they fall off post-IVA I might forget where they originally went
