Hi all
I am about to make the spec plate for the Iva, according to the manual the maximum laden masses are not required to be displayed. If this the case
please tell if the format below is ok?
LOCOST S7
AXLE (Model)
No approval No. /build stage No ( is this ok?)
MY CHASIAS NO,
Kind regards Axle
IVA states the following order and was amended in year or so ago to state:
..is displayed in the correct order...
Name of manufacturer : VOSA MOTOR INC -
Approval No. and/or Build Stage No. : e1*2007/46*0291*02
Vehicle Identification Number : 3GPG918009BS51312
Maximum permitted laden mass of vehicle : 1500 kg
Maximum permitted laden mass for the combination where the vehicle is used for towing : 2500 kg
Maximum permitted laden road mass for each axle, listed in order from front to rear : 1 – 730 kg 2 – 810 kg
So yours will simply need to read:
Manufacturer - LOCOST S7 (YOu could add Axle in here if you like, but on the same line as the Manufacturer)
Chassis No - *****************
As you state, approval no is not relevant, so you dont have to show anything.
Mass/weights are also optional

To clarify, the only required information on the plate is:
- Manufacturer
- Chassis Number
So for example:
LOCOST
XXYY33222XXYYYYX
Agree as above, just manufacturer one line and chassis number below.
Cheers all , have a great week end

Rules changed 30/09/2012 so depends on when you IVA'd
Sorry for being slow, but does it really matter the only difference I see is the engine serial No being added which is not asked for in Iva manual?
cheers

again, the only information that the IVA manual says is mandatory is the manufacturer name and the VIN number so:
SYLVA
S12345ABCDEF12345
Something like that.
Will an engraved piece of aluminium be acceptable?
