Just out of curiosity been looking into the next steps once IVA has been done.

I am going for an age related plate so will be using the V55/5 and V627/1 along with the original V5 and receipts.

Looking through the list of things you need to send I see you need to send the First Registration Fee (£55) and the fee for the tax (I think this is £220 based on the donor being a 1987 Sierra). Now the stupid bit - I can't see a reference anywhere to how you pay this. Do I simply send to cheques to the DVLA for these amounts?

I wrote two cheques one for each to the DVLA....

I took all my documents and cheque book into the nearest DVLA counter (Elstree) and let them help me ! They were also a bit baffled at first- not their usual enquiry. Worked though (took 30 mins and 3 staff members!).
