Jenko - 30/6/14 at 12:05 PM

Car built from a purchased kit, and used a doner car for Engine, gearbox, steering column.

So far I have the IVA 1C from completed, IVA 4 form completed......Anything else I need to complete before posting?.

Cheers.

Paul.

Some critical photo's of the Garage where it was built with it and you in it and preferably your house in the background. This helps with proof that you built the car and you are not operating a business.

For the actual IVA you need photo's of things you think they want to see but don't want to disassemble the car to see.

I would advise a MoT on the chassis no as this gives you a heads up on any brake/safety/emissions issues.

A pair of rubber pants, best of luck!

I've found a very nice website that will (for a few quid), turn a blog into a book and save it as a pdf. So my plan was to do this, durig the build, I've been careful to take photos of the parts that IVA want to see (seat bels anchorage points, wiring, brake lines / fuel lines in the tunnel, etc) So I think I'm ok with the photos.

So, is the 1C form the only one I need to send off?.

Cheers.

Paul.

Do not give them any more information than they ask for, and only at the time of asking, giving them a book to read is like asking for trouble. The photo's of hidden areas that you may need to get you out of trouble should be kept in your pocket till asked for. The build photo's are only to prove you built the car.
