Have brought a new car that's got 7 months tax on it, will i lose it now the new legislation has come in.
yep. tax ain't transferrable any more... seller gets a refund of renmaining full months, and you have to pay to tax it from 1/10, so you both lose out
New cars come with 12 months of tax and most of them are very low or cheap, whats up?
I was told this week by a guy in car sales... that if it's got a tax disc (ie. from the old system) then it continues until it runs out. Only
when it's been taxed under the new system does the old owner get a refund and the new owner has to tax from buying the car.
This was a car sales guy who tod me so I think "Caveat emptor" probably applies.
