Time from application to test
907 - 19/10/14 at 03:59 PM

Hi All,

How long is the wait from first applying for a test to the actual test date?

I assume that it differs from one test centre to another so if it helps I would be applying for a test at Norwich,
since I'm on the South Suffolk / North Essex border.

I still have a few jobs to do, and the plan is to test early next year and hopefully be on the road in early spring.

( Famous last words )

Cheers
Paul G

It was 4 weeks for me at Newcastle.
When you book your IVA it might be worth sending off for your DVLA forms as they take an age to get!

I think they called me just short of 3 weeks after posting my application. I then booked the test date for 2 weeks post this phone call as I still had a few bits to finish on the car.

Thanks chaps.

So there's not as long a wait as I thought there would be then.

Best I get my finger out.

I get the impression that's said with feeling Mel.

I thought of you yesterday as the wife and I put the new windscreen into its frame,
with a squirt or two of your rubber boot lubricant. Hopefully this one won't crack.

Depends on the test centre - I waited 10 weeks for mine!

Slippery stuff isn't it!
On the road for Christmas? Looking forward to seeing it being used

Tomorrows job is to put a length of lining paper on the garage wall so that I can list all the stupid
things I still have to do.

I'll start off with "fit windscreen washer bag" that I've just ordered off eBay.
I mean, what daft bugger squirts water on a car with no roof ?
