LPG and getting it certified as safe
Mr Whippy - 28/11/14 at 01:34 PM

You know I can get a LPG kit for my super heavy little landy 88 2.25 for less than £600 and it's a doddle to fit plus it would be very safe with the tank sat in the middle of my roll cage

The issue is if I fit it which I'd rather do, I'm still struggling to find a place localish to get it tested and certified for insurance and MOT

I'm in Aberdeen area

Any ideas?

I have converted a few cars, most LPG fitters will charge you £50 to inspect.

That said I only had one car inspected, the first car I did then called the insurers who were not bother about a certificate just noted it, these were Admiral, Aviva & Bell from memory, I swap around every year.

Call your insurers, if they are the same as mine then do not bother.

NB, one car caught fire, the paid out another I crashed which they fixed without query.
