IVA Pass at Nottingham
Ross Carter - 13/6/15 at 09:29 AM

After a two and a half year build the morning of Wednesday 10th June was filled with dread as it was my first IVA test at Nottingham but Martin made me feel at ease as he went through the test, but after a few hours i was the proud owner of a IVA pass certificate. Thanks to members of locostbuilders for inspiration and infomation

Excellent well done.

Nottingham come recommended by MK as the place to use for IVA on kit cars,as there are a few manufacturers local they test a lot of kit cars compared to other centres.

Well done feels great doesn't it!

I hope you have some luck now with the dvla. Send forms FAO kits and rebuilds.

I have spare v55 forms if you need them quicker than 7 to 10 days too.

Thanks for the offer of registration forms but have already sent off documents as i have used Paul Jepson to process all the paperwork as i am not always available and did not want to have any delays. But i have just been informed by him that you now need a letter of proof from MK that the body/chassis was brand new when supplied by them as well as the invoice ?

I just sent my invoice from Westfield. But still awaiting my reg so can't say. However I'm not after a new reg (it's only a number) so might be different for a q anyway?

Have sent the MK invoice but this is an additional requirement apparently. I am only after an age related plate in this case the donor car was 1989 on a G

In which case can't see why they want you to prove anything is new?

Well done, Great feeling isn't.

Hope you get your reg number soon. If they are asking for more info, sounds like they are dealing with the request.
Mine took less than two weeks once it was actually being processed.

Enjoy the fruits of you labour - carefully.

Excellent - the best feeling in the world isn't it?! Well done! Fancy a blat out some time? I am just down the road near Morley!

Nice one.

If you're using Paul Jepson then it might just be him dotting every I and crossing every T, just to be sure it doesn't get held up.

Well done - nice looking car. The Nottingham people were very helpful when I took my Viento last year. They do everything they can to give you time to fettle the car on site to get it through whilst still making sure that it is to the right standard.

I'm just down the road in Giltbrook, so if you fancy a run out into the peak district some time, let me know. There are a few of us in the area, so we could get a convoy together.

Thanks, i will look forward to it

Congratulations. I did not know there was a test centre in Nottingham. Worth knowing since I'm based in Stoke-on-Trent. That reminds me, I should get a build blog going since the donor car is now safely tucked in my garage.
