I have read that a warning label of some type is required for the adjustable bias.i spotted a nice one on here from a fellow locoster,he had non left so I have had mine made plus a few more if any body needs one, these are 95mm long and26mm wide, they are are made like the chassis anty tamper stick on vin numbers like many French cars.they are yellow with black letters,£5 inc post,i they say, adjusting front to rear bias may invalidate approval and breach construction and use regulations.

It doesn't require a sticker just need fixing so it cannot be adjusted.

Lock nuts are accepted in some centre but wiring is the best way. Drill a hole through just behind the nut and wire up.

I haven't seen anything about labelling...

Note 5: Bias bars and other mechanical adjusting devices fitted to twin master cylinders must be rendered inoperable by mechanical means e.g. lockwiring of components.

27. Vehicles fitted with adjustable twin master cylinders that have been rendered inoperable by mechanical means to comply with RS 26 must have a label affixed on the master cylinder or the immediate vicinity with legible text as detailed in note 6.
Note 6
Adjusting front/rear brake bias may invalidate approval and breach Construction and Use requirements.

Jossey, The sticker requirement was introduced when they dropped the requirement for the adjuster to be permanently locked (soon after IVA came in).

I am now confused. So can I fit a manual bias adjuster in the rear brake line?

adithorp - 24/7/15 at 09:50 PM

No.
