Hi,
I have my IVA restest this week. Initial IVA frustratingly failed on emissions even after a rolling road setup and check for emssions. Also failed on
some minor points that were easily recitifed.
All sorted now though and emissions check out OK at my local MOT garage. Drove past Mr Policeman on the way and expected him to do a U turn and nick
me for no plates but didnt notice or was on his way home for lunch!
Trying to get ahead of the game with the registration docs. Seem to have found most things on the web but I did see somewhere that '29
Date from which tax is to run (date of registration) can be left blank and DVLA will fill that in, which would make sense as I have no idea
when they will process the form.
Is this what others have done?
Also, what are 45 Date of original registration and 46 Date of registration in UK all about? I guess the second (46) is about imports so
can be ignored but is the first (45) the date of registration of the donor car?
And finally is the address given on the guidance notes (V355/5) DVLA Swansea SA99 1BE still the best address for this? I've sure I've seen
comments on the web that there are other addresses that may have more sucess/expediency (or that might have been IVA application).
Finally feeling there's a bit of lilght at the end of the tunnel after a 7 year build!!

Many thanks Gents, much appreciated!
One last question. When I look through the link above, one section under 7. Kit-converted vehicles' it says:
You’ll need to include the following with your application:
form V627/1 - ‘Built up vehicle inspection report’
the vehicle registration certificate for the original vehicle
evidence of type approval, if necessary – see ‘Vehicle type approval’ below
official receipts for any parts used
build plans
photographs of the vehicle
I though you only needed photos for the original IVA Application?

Details of what I sent are in this thread

The only other thing I needed was a picture of the Chassis number on the rail and a receipt from the Chassis manufacturer which included the Chassis
number on it.
DVLA and IVA are separate things and require their own list of boxes ticking. Yes you need different and also repeated things to pass each ones list of boxes to be ticked. Photos included! I put 3 or four photos on an A4 page and sent 4 pages which showed various stages including finished car and had no problems.
