Considering what a nightmare I had getting there, I had a reasonable fail. All the key things I was worried about went straight through, emissions,
brakes, noise, speedo (with and adjustment)
It weighed in at 580kg with 30 ltrs of fuel
Key things
Fog lights coming on with side lights, and marking on the fog light
They want some triangulation on my upper seat belt mounts even though its build to the Haynes book.
I missed a weld on the underside of a suspension mount.
And a bit of niff naff.
Nightmare was, satnav took me down a road that had a 6'6'' width limit, I thought its just be a narrow road, nope proper concrete
bollards 5 mins from the test centre, no where to turn round so had to reverse for 1/2 mile on a narrow road in rush hour. Ended up 40 mins late. The
guys were great and he managed to get through everything with 10 mins to spare.
I'll upload a few pictures later. The centre said he's only ever past one kit first time and that was a factory caterham so I don't
feel that hard done by.

I made one adjustment, it was just enough!

Fail sheet for those who might be doing IVA soon ( my car cover pulled off my central mirror on the journey!)

Doesn't sound too bad and at least you now have a confirmed list to work through.

Not too bad, and as mentioned very lucky they saw you when that late!
Ps I mentioned the fog marking in your pre IVA post!!
All in all & given your problems getting to the test centre, I would take that list of minor fail points any day.
Well done that man.
Yep think I was lucky proper nice guys at Leighton. Not sure I can get a fog light in the same me style mine are wipac.welding is a pain as my welder has died!
not bad at that then, i had the same seat belt bracket issiue 8 years ago, ill have a look for some photos for what we did, very good going well done.

Think it was near clipstone. Satnav took me off the a5 junction before hockliffe.

I'd be happy if I only get that type of fails. Well done.
When you say more triangulation on harness. Does that mean moving the anchor points closer together?? I'm almost at the stage where I will drill
and weld posts through rollover bar and would Appreciate if someone had some measurements that would be IVA ok.
Cheers
Charlie.
Not a bad fail... I need to sort my emmissions out for a pass.
Retest booked for the 3rd May, earliest slot available :9
Hi Charlie, I didn’t weld the bosses into the tube. They were welded onto a flat plate as per the Haynes book. It isn’t the strongest so prob does need bracing. See my pre Iva thread for piccies
