SVA manual states that the headlamps should be mounted no more than 400mm from the widest part of the car's body. This is measured to the
"beam cut off pattern" on the headlamp lens. Anyone want to draw me a quick sketch or give me a good explanation to show me exactly where
this (beam cut off) is as I'm not too sure.

I took it as the outermost part of the car, which was the rear wing, to the edge of the glass and reflector. Really if your headlamps are further than
400mm in they would be on top of the nosecone practically. The beam cutoff pattern is the line at the bottom of the lens - above the plain glass
area.

Confirm Petes' reply. Standard headlight bar is ok, our SVA Center never even checked.

for some reason I had it in my head that 400mm max was from the side of the car to the centre of the headlight lens.
