Hello,
let me introduse myself.
I am a dutch student at a technical/automotive school. And recently i have started a schoolproject to build a streetlegal go-cart-like
"car".
Offcourse everything is build with a budget off an average student (practically nothing). So i have build everything myselve. The chassis and the
suspension is calculated and designed by me and some teachers. The engine is a kawasaki zx-6r bike engine.
My intention is to get it approved by the SVA and then take it to the netherlands and get it registered here (like all the dutch kitcarbuilders
do).
Now, i have some questions (and there will come more along the way of building it)
- Do i need to have an adress in England to get a SVA?
-In which category do i have to place my "car" ? (my guess : A? )
thanx
my project:

I have also a problem with my steering column. I think about using a seat ibiza '99 column (like the left thing on te picture) which exists out
of two cardan-joints.
Do i need to make a telescopic section with it (like right part of the picture) or does the two joint-column do the job?

Hello mede-lander! You need certainly collapsible steering column. You don't need an telescopic section if you not want an adjustable
steeringwheel. But take care that your steering column can absorb energy on in impact.
