Dare I say just got an SVA date today.
27/04/05 at 8am Beverely. Seven days to sort the car and then D day.
Carl
Good luck
How about some pics of the car so everyone can have a look and see any possible failures that we may miss on Sunday.
Pat...
There won't be any Pat, it lokked bitchin' last time I saw it!
If you need anything Carl let me know.
How do you take photos of emission's, headlight alignment and brake bias. But good point I will post photos at the weekend when I get it
outside.
Carl
Did you move the nuts on the bias bar Carl? You need one on each end.
Can you post a photo showing the split pin that locked it up. I was going to lock it after the test onsite.
Carl
Yeah, remind mr tomorrow and I'll get a picture sorted for you. I drilled the nuts before SVA and just did the bar at the centre.
Good luck Carl, although having seen it, I'm sure you won't need any.
Luego told me not to use a split pin, and to use a Roll Pin instead. I dont know how significant this is, but may be worth looking into before the
SVA.
I am quite happy to be wring.. just thought it worth a mention.
PS... Good luck with the SVA. I am not ready for that yet

Think I will take a cordless drill and a roll pin with me and fit it after the brakes are tested. I think they let you carry out small adjustments/repairs on site
A roll pin, see attached

Thats exactly how the SVA inspector set it to test it. This was worst case, he could not move it any further due to the bar fouling on the side of the pedal box. So perhaps its better not to cut it down?
Thanks Graham
Which is the front master cylinder
Carl
No worries Carl,
Here you go!
