Anyone Near Penicuik, fancy giving my car a pre SVA check
Monkeybasher - 26/4/05 at 04:29 PM

Hi,

My SVA is on May 6th, I was wondering if there was anybody in the Penicuik/ Edinburgh area that fancied giving my car a look over for anything obvious that it might fail on.

Cheers

Steve

I believe Baldrick may be handy for you. Could be wrong though.

Lucky you, not many people can say that their first post was about their sva test, good luck

Thanks, unfortunatly I just found this site the other week, Doh!. Great site would have been very handy during the build. ah well. Being realistic it will probably fail first time, but hopefully on nothing too serious. The test is at Newcastle.

Hopefully I will see some of you at knockhill during the summer.

Cheers

Steve

If you look at it in perspective from where you live, everywhere in the lowlands is near Stirling lol

Monkey

Sorry I'm not anywhere near Penicuik, nor qualified / experienced enough to judge whether it'll pass an SVA,

However I am in Newcastle next Friday and have a yard full of odds and ends, just in case you need anything bringing over to Sandy Lane. Addition pipe wrap, padding, cable ties etc.

What time is your test? Good luck!!!

Mike

subk2002 I met somebody outside Halfords with a bike engined MK, maybe that was Scotlad I dont know, this guy had passed at Newcastle. It was himself who told me about this site.

SeaBass I was hoping to go to Bishopbriggs but the the earlist appointment was 20th May. Your cars looking good

Yep, Zilspeeds correct - quite close. Unfortunately I'm up in Aberdeenshire this weekend but will try and get over next week - in the car if poss. My SVA was in Bishopbriggs also. Fail first is a good idea - let's you know exactly what you have to concentrate on as you only have to fix fail points.

Just keep telling yourself that mate... lol

I haven't seen you for a while. I'm moving to the Borders in June...

You know what I meant!

Were you at Lothian bridge last night - I think I saw your & Lindsay's cars outside. Were you working on the car or driving it?

Hopefully nothing serious wrong with my build. If its adding a couple of cable ties and some rubber strip here and there I'll be well happy

If you get a chance to bring your car across next week that would be good.

Cheers
