Anyone know if this kind of switch panel would pass the SVA test?

It's the one from rally design but there is very little information listed about it

no

the internal projections fail on the toggle switch etc unless you fit it in the exception area.

Maplins sell little rubber boots to go over toggle switches to make them waterproof.

They might be worth a look if you have your heart set on the idea.

Fit SVA stuff for the SVA, then when its passed .. "Customise" it to your personal taste!

It will pass, provided it is within the exemption zone. This includes the area directly behind the steering wheel (good reason to use a nice big Sierra one), and extends a specified distance from the outside edge of the steering wheel (can't remember what that distance is).

It also covers some of the area from the wheel to the offside edge of the car.

Best find a sketch of the area or look in the sva manual to confirm.

just get a small rubber ball and drill the right sized hole in it and glue it on the end of the toggle - im sure it can trimmed off with a sharp knife after SVA?
