are the areas inside the nosecone,ie the wishbone brackets,column joint etc subject to radius tests?Whats best to overcome if its to be tested,panel it in?

Inside the nosecone... nope..

I was told that the tester has a sphere of rad that is in the manual. If this contacts an edge when offered from the front it has to be protected / radiussed. I was also told that if you fit 'nudge bars' off the front of the nose cone across front of wishbones etc this will be the first contact point and everything behind is exempt - will look ugly though and probably not worth the effort.

Run your hands over the surface of the bodywork - if you can feel an edge, it may need attention.

This is what the SVA man did during my test - didn't find anything to worry him, so his gauges stayed in the cupboard.

You may end up getting over-cautious, but that's OK as long as you don't get too extreme about it.

Thanks for the input guys,you start to get paranoid,I mean when does an edge become an edge,is there a distance involved.I have just fitted a small bracket to the side of the screen surround for a mirror.The surfaces now differ by 1.2 mm is blunting sufficient?

yes ISTR that it specifically says, items thinner than 2.5mm must just be chamfered
