SVA at 8:00am this morning, took 3 hours, and passed first time. I didn't get picked up on anything which was a nice surprise.
Got down to Exeter DVLA by 11:30 and registered and taxed by 1:00 with an age related plate, plates ordered by phone and picked up on the way home
(110 miles!), Adrian Flux sorted, plates fitted and on the road. Phew!
At the risk of sounding like an oscar winner, special thanks to:-
Ian (robinbastd) for being the support vehicle, verbal vallium etc
Barrie and Hilary Sharp for putting us up overnight and going over the car, beautiful cooking and hospitality
Terry, the SVA examiner, a really nice chap, reassuring, helpful, and makes a really nice cup of tea.

Well done, Mark!
Now just take it easy for a while until you get used to driving it...
David
Well done Mark. Are you sideways in the picture or just parked up?
Quick aren't they?
Have fun.
Congratulations mate. Superb job.
Congrats mate, must be such a huge relief!
only one small problem left now - what to build now
Summer awaits now, what good timing!
Tom
Super job... Well Done on the Pass...
I hope to come and see it for real in August, when I am down that way..
Maybee I could hook mine up to the back of the caravan, and leave it at yours(for a couple of weeks) for one of theose lovely interiors
Well Done mate!
Hi Mark.
Very well done. I'm not surprised you passed first time, an excellent build.
Thanks - I got my harnesses from Sabelt OK - unlike yours, the top fitting isn't direct into the shoulder straps, but seperate with a long strap
which I've had to pull right up and roll up, just like the unsuitable ones Rally Design sent. BUT - as I requested, the shoulder straps are
shortened for kitcars with top mounts behind the seats, and the harnesses fit a treat.
BTW, I had a look at your photo archive with the build pics, and reckon you've done a top job.

well done!!!
Weel done. Sorry I didn't get back in time to meet you
Congrats - but if yours didn't pass the rest of us stand no chance.
Nice one Mark.
Mark,
Stop being so bloody modest. The examiner told you that he'd never passed a kit car (let alone a scratch built car) without something needing
doing to it during the test.
The car full of tools, rubber trim, roll bar padding and spare underwear was unnecessary.
It was nice to discover that SVA testers aren't demonspawn after all!
I'm delighted for you mate and I hope you get to enjoy the car to the full driving to and fro Carnal Downs now you have the time to teach me to
weld! All I have to do is find the time to learn.
Ian
Welding help is guaranteed, tomorrow, I am going to get Pat strapped in and do the St Ives - Zennor - Pendeen - St Just - Porthcurnow - Lamorna run. That has got to be the best Locost run in the world
And on Sunday you'll do the other half of the north coast road.
No chance, not with Royal Cornwall Show on!!
Lizard looks promising though
Well done Mark! Most excellent!
Enjoy, enjoy enjoy.............
Fozzie
well done m8, have lots of fun in her now
Excellent !
Well done - great feeling isn't it, but driving it will be even better !
Enjoy it but like others say, take it easy at first, my car caught me out a few times in the first few weeks - scary.
here's to a good summer

look forward to seeing on the roads around here

Further to my congrats, I have to pass comment on your avatar. Many years ago, my Mum & Dad & I used to go to Cornwall every year, and stay at
Marazion. We walked across the causeway to St Michael's Mount many times. A lovely place, and on more than one occasion we only just got back
with the water lapping around our feet. Sorry for the off-topic, but had to mention it.

Excellent, well done Mark, it seems like its been a long haul with obstacles placed in your path. You've done an impressive job.
I hope that you enjoy driving it this summer.
