Sorry to ask . I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find the thread.

Do the side repeater lights have to be E marked. I've read the section in the draft SVA manual but I don't understand the requirement.

I think the usual SVA requirement is " either E marked or has properties equal or above that standard"

At my SVA he just glanced at them, visual check that they were orange (clear repeaters and orange lamps) and ran a finger over them to check they were not sharp. Mine are not e marked, but they are fit for purpose.
