Can anybody let me know it u have to have a rad on the back of the dash at the bottom

I put my rad it the front in the empty space in the nosecone.

The radius of the bottom of the dashboard has to be 19mm or something, OR as I understand padded, so you can't feel the solid with yer thumb!!!

The radius on the bottom is 19mm, unless you pad it , in which case it is 5mm.

My dash was 19mm but Jos failed with same one (maybe it was 18.952 ish). I fitted a new cover on passenger side that was at least 30mm, 270 degs, also covered in padded vinyl.
This will be part of Mac1's SVA loan kit when i return it.

Yup, as Darren said the bottom of the dashboard has to be radiusd to 19mm or more. However if there is a padding material it only has to be 5mm radius. The ammount of give needs to be around the same amount of give that is offered by a standard pencil eraser and should protect against a pressing finger (or thumb) from contacting a sharp edge, (if present) underneath it.

In my instance my dash was judged to be radiussed to less than 19mm "probably 15 mill" and I had to fit a padding material over if but because the was a 15mm radius under the padding, this satisfied the 5mm minimum requirement.

It is exactly the same dash as Darrens btw which passed without problems.

I dont think you need to have a radius on the "back" of the dash as it will only be examined from a front to rear direction
