I had SVA on december 20th at Exeter and I failed on 4 points:
1 - fuel restrictor in tank filler was not secured
2 - angle of visibility of the offside mirror was not wide enough
3 - the front wings didn't cover the total width of the tires
4 - emission: lambda to high
I drove to Ian's garage at Dawlish (Dawlish Tyre & Exhaust Centre - Shutterton Industrial Estate - Dawlish 01626 888500) and we made in a few
hours the modifications:
1 - fuel restrictor was gluded
2 - I changed the offside mirror (larger and convex mirror was fitted)
3 - I fixed extensions on front wings (see picture)
4 - We changed petrol in the tank (mine was old) and Ian put a special liquid into the petrol tank to clean the injectors.
The day after we drove to Exeter and heated the engine before the emission test.
Byron (mister SVA) was happy with the changes and we passed the emission test . So he gave me the MAC and we drove to DVLA .....YEAHHHHH
!!!!!

Have you got any more pics or info on those silicone covers you made for your bonnet catches?
Pat...
they are home made, in a composite fiber glass mould itself moulded over the bonnet catches. I have used a 2 components silicon coloured with
pigments.
If you want I can send you other pictures of these pieces
