Has somebody information about the new European plates wich would arrive in 2006 ?
What about the Q plates with these registration plates ?

Never heard of this - is it supposed to be a Europe-wide registration or what?

a europe wide reg system would be a bit foolish imo.

I think this just refers to the little blue strip on the left with the yellow stars and the country letters. This is a real PITA for anyone with a post 73 historic vehicle that needs new plates ass the plain white and yellow will not be available any more!

But at least you won't have to stick a bloody "GB" sticker on the back.

One of the first things I do now when I buy a car is swap the rear plate for one of the new ones.

So does that mean that it will now be mandatory to have the blue Euro symbol?

I don't speek about that at all. I have heard about a totaly new arrangement of numbers and letters wich will be the same in every country of Europe.

if you dont want the eu symbol then theres several sites on the internet based around the world who make numberplates to specific requirements.

as for a EU wide system where every country has identical numerical and alphabetical arrangement plates is rediculous!
