Exhaust clamps

What have people done regarding making exhaust clamps SVA friendly?

Just turn them so the part you do up to make it tight is pointing digonaly towards the ground so that they can't get than metal ball thingy to touch the sharp edges.

HMMM that will probably work for the one on the silencer box but I'm not so sure about the 2 that hold the Cat.
I've been looking for a source of stainless M8 X 80 dome head socket screws for the clamps but with no success so far. Everyone seems to stock max length of 60mm

Just had a thought (rare these days) 8mm stainless studding and M 8 stainless dome nuts...Sorted...

I'm getting close to the point where I will have to bite the bullit and try to run the bugger...
Haven't done anything to the MS lately been working on exhaust system and cooling with a bit of interior trimming thrown in for good measure. The end of the project is now coming into view.
I want it on the road by May if possible.

I had a look at the web site and I have to say you've done a bloody good job. Your tallents are wasted!
Good luck with the Vauxhall lump.

I had a stainless one but the edges are slightly raised and looked like they might fall foul of the SVA man's ball (oo-er!). For the SVA I used a standard clamp with some old alternator belt covering the potentially sharp bits:
