just to let you all know from 01/04/2006 the old system is finished and any stations using old style certificates will be unable to test looks like the end of an era.

NigeEss - 16/3/06 at 11:15 PM

Yep, end of an era indeed and so far it seems to be the start of a pain in the .......

The whole system was down on Monday. The local bike shop couldn't log on so they couldn't do any tests and the phone line was overwhelmed so they couldn't find out why, hope it doesn't happen too often.

yeah but at least some kit cars dont appear to be in the vosa database yet, which means no cat test needed

Got my mot today on the van and was issued with the new type. Then i realised they got the milage way wrong, they put 2367miles instead of 23673 miles.

ch1ll1 - 17/3/06 at 08:22 AM

take it back
they will amend it f.o.c

lucky for me im an official mot tester haha. so looks like il be testing mine when she finished. the old style system was better tho.

bimbleuk - 17/3/06 at 10:17 AM

Had my kit Striker tested in February. I helped the guys go through the system and create a profile for mine. They're aren't exactly known for their IT skills now are they

COREdevelopments - 17/3/06 at 10:34 AM

luckily for me i know how to work a computer just about. all the other testers aint got a clue, so when the system goes down they panic and think its the end of the world. but much prefer the old style system,
